Sadlier Appoints Rosemary Calicchio as Executive Vice President and Publisher to Head Realigned Publishing Division

Frank Sadlier Dinger, Chairman of William H. Sadlier, Inc.
(“Sadlier”) (OTCPNK:SADL), and William Sadlier Dinger, President,
announced on August 12, 2010 that Rosemary Calicchio has been
appointed to the new position, Executive Vice President and
Publisher, leading a strategically realigned Publishing Division
that includes the Publications, Electronic Media, Planning, and
Publishing Operations Departments. The directors of these
departments now report to Ms. Calicchio and work with her to ensure
the coordinated development of quality products for Sadlier’s
present and future markets.
Ms. Calicchio explained that this realignment “aims at
effectively utilizing the knowledge and expertise of every staff
member.” Commenting on the change, Frank Dinger explained: “We are
clear on our vision and we have the right executive team with the
experience, knowledge, and expertise needed to achieve our
goals."
William Dinger added: “These changes will help Sadlier continue
to harness developing technologies, broaden recognition of its
brands in targeted markets, and create greater value for
shareholders, customers, and employees. With her extensive
experience and skills, Rosemary is uniquely qualified to bring this
vision to fruition.”
Ms. Calicchio joined Sadlier in 1999 as Editorial Director and
in 2003 was appointed to the new position of Vice President
Publications Sadlier. For the past eleven years she has been
responsible for the development, design, and publication of
Sadlier’s catechetical and sacramental preparation programs.
Foremost among these is Sadlier’s recently published We Believe
with Project Disciple program for schools, parishes and bilingual
programs.
Ms. Calicchio’s publishing career began at Harcourt, Brace,
Jovanovich in New York City after a solid foundation of teaching at
most levels from Montessori preschool to calculus, working summers
as a computer programmer, and teaching in many SAT and GED
programs. During her 30 years in publishing, she also worked at
Prentice Hall, Sunburst Communications, and Cuisenaire Company of
America, and served as Vice President, Publisher, and General
Manager at Pearson with responsibility for a range of subjects,
including language arts, reading, mathematics, and social studies.
During her career Ms. Calicchio has edited, managed, or acquired
many successful programs and has interacted with thousands of
authors and freelancers.
