Russell Breweries Inc. (TSX VENTURE:RB) (the "Company") is very pleased to
announce the appointment of Mr. Peter H. Stafford and Mr. Richard Ruijian Shi to
the board of directors of the Company. Biographies of Mr. Stafford and Mr. Shi
can be found below. Mr. Stafford and Mr. Shi join Benjamin Li Yu and Dongbing
(Derrick) Ma as directors of the Company. 


The Company would also like to announce that Andrew Harris has resigned as a
director of the Company. The Company thanks Andrew for his contributions to the
Company over the years and wishes him the best in his future endeavours. 


Peter H Stafford, QC 

Mr. Peter Stafford, QC is an Associate Counsel and part-time consultant to
Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP Barristers and Solicitors. Mr. Stafford joined one
of the predecessor firms of Fasken Martineau in 1966 and was a senior partner
and former chair of the Business Law department of the Firm's Vancouver office.
From 1985 to 1986, Mr. Stafford was Vice-President, General Counsel and
Secretary of the Bank of British Columbia and from 1987 to 1989 he was
Vice-President and Chief Counsel to Kaiser Resources Ltd., a finance and
investment company. He rejoined the Firm as a partner in 1989. From 2003 until
his retirement from full time practice in 2006, Mr. Stafford was based in the
Johannesburg office of Fasken Martineau. Mr. Stafford's experience is in the
areas of corporate and securities law, including mergers and acquisitions. He
was a director and subsequently secretary of WEX Pharmaceuticals Inc. (TSX
listed) from 2001 to 2011, a director and board chair of BC Bancorp (TSX listed
until its merger with a Canadian bank), and is a former director of Nissho Iwai
(Canada) Ltd. a subsidiary of Nissho Iwai Corp. (now Sojitz Corp.). Originally
from South Africa, Mr. Stafford obtained a BA from the University of Cape Town
and an LL.B from the University of South Africa. He was admitted as an attorney
in South Africa and subsequently was called to the English Bar (Inner Temple).
He is a Canadian citizen and resides in the South Okanagan, BC. 


Richard Ruijian Shi 

Mr. Richard Ruijian Shi is a co-founder of Xinjiang Wusu Breweries Co. Ltd., a
joint venture between the Carlsberg Group and Xingjian Hops Co., Ltd. With an
annual production and sales of over 4 million hecto-liters, Xinjiang Wusu
Breweries Co. Ltd is one of the largest and most successful breweries in Western
China. During his 25 years tenure at the brewery, Mr. Shi held various senior
management positions, from brewery operations to sales and marketing. He was
instrumental in the brewery's sustained growth and profitability over two
decades. Before retiring from the company in 2009 and immigrating to Canada, Mr.
Shi held the position of Senior Vice President for Sales and Marketing at
Xinjiang Wusu Breweries Co. Ltd. Mr. Shi holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree
from the Capital University of Economics and Business in Beijing, China.
