On Demand EMR to be deployed to 150 First Nations Health Services

MARKHAM, ON, July 25, 2012 /CNW/ - Nightingale Informatix
Corporation ("Nightingale" or the "Company") , an application
service provider (ASP) of electronic medical record (EMR) software
and related services, today announced that it has signed a
three-year agreement with Six Nations Health Services to provide
its leading EMR and practice management solution, Nightingale On
Demand (NOD), to healthcare providers practicing within the
Six Nations Health Services department of the Six Nations of the
Grand River Elected Council. "Over the past 12 months, Nightingale
has strengthened its foothold as the EMR partner of choice for
community-based health organizations across Canada," said Sam
Chebib, President and CEO of Nightingale. "This agreement with Six
Nations builds directly on our earlier success with the Association
of Ontario Health Centres (AOHC). We are making great progress in
the emerging Aboriginal market segment through our customized
workflow. Our partnership with Six Nations is a testament to the
leadership position Nightingale has achieved in the specialized
community health and public health markets." This is the largest
single Aboriginal Healthcare agreement to date for Nightingale. It
will cover 150 providers who provide comprehensive and diverse
health services to clients at the Six Nations Health Services
primary site in Ohsweken, Ontario and across the Six Nations
territory. Deployment is expected to be completed by December 2012.
The terms of the agreement have not been disclosed. "Our Community
Health Services providers have been using EMR since 2007; however,
the former solution did not meet our clients' specific medical,
cultural and reporting needs," said Ruby Miller, Director, Six
Nations Health Services. "Not only does Nightingale provide a more
flexible EMR solution, but the Nightingale team demonstrated a
commitment to continue to develop a deep understanding of our
cultural needs as a result of their work with other Aboriginal
Health Access Centres." Adoption of EMR by community-based centres
is in the early stages. Nightingale's track record of successful
EMR deployments, technology leadership, demonstrated experience in
multiple jurisdictions, as well as the comprehensive functionality
of Nightingale On Demand positions the Company to become the
leading EMR provider in this sector. Moreover, as a true bilingual
EMR service provider, Nightingale is positioned to accelerate
market penetration in regions where French is a requirement. As a
competitive EMR replacement agreement with Six Nations Heath
Services, Nightingale will also be responsible for migrating
original client data from the existing databases. The Company will
manage the process through its Data Migration Centre of Excellence
(DMCE). "Protecting the integrity of data quality through the data
migration process is an important priority of this EMR deployment
process," Mr. Chebib continued. "We have successfully managed
hundreds of successful data migrations and our team that forms the
Company's Data Migration Centre of Excellence understands the
complexities of patient record systems, data and workflows."
Nightingale's Data Management Centre of Excellence (DMCE) includes
a set of processes, tools and resources designed to help health
care organizations extract data from their legacy EMR applications
and populate the data into Nightingale on Demand EMR in a useful
format. Migrating data is complicated and time consuming; the tools
built by Nightingale ensure that this data is of the highest
quality and will be readily available and useable in the
Nightingale On Demand EMR solution. About Nightingale Nightingale
