Hunter Oil Announces Appointments

Hunter Oil Corp. (TSX-V:HOC) (OTCQX:HOILF) (the

Company" or “
Hunter”) is pleased
to announce the appointment of Al H. Denson, P.E. as the Company’s
Chief Executive officer, effective immediately, replacing Andrew
Hromyk who assumes the new role of Executive Chairman.
Mr. Denson has over forty years of exploration
and production experience, beginning his career in 1976 with Amoco
Corporation (now BP), where he served in various engineering,
operational and management roles both in the USA and
internationally over a twenty-year tenure. Mr. Denson has served as
a Director and member of the Company’s Operating Committee since
2014.
Mr. Denson has experience with both conventional
and unconventional resources and an active member of the Society of
Petroleum Engineers. He earned both a BS and MS in Petroleum
Engineering from Mississippi State University and is a Registered
Professional Engineer in the State of Louisiana.
As CEO, Mr. Denson will be responsible for all
of the Company’s operations, while Mr. Hromyk will be responsible
for developing and implementing long-term, strategic alternatives
for the Company.

Hunter Oil owns and operates two large, historic
oil fields in the Permian Basin of Eastern New Mexico - the
Milnesand and Chaveroo fields, Historical production of these two
fields is approximately 40 million barrels. The Company plans to
unlock the value in these resource-rich fields by leveraging
existing infrastructure, lowering operating costs and increasing
efficiencies of its operations.
