VANCOUVER,
Nov. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -
Garibaldi Resources Corp. (TSXV: GGI) (the "Company") is
pleased to announce that the Company owned NQ diamond drill has
been deployed to test the Locust Gold in soil anomaly located at
the Company's 100% owned 48,000 hectare Tonichi concession in Sonora State,
Mexico approximately 160 kms
southeast of Hermosillo.
Amongst numerous alteration target areas
originally detected during the Company's hyperspectral survey
within this large 480 square km claim block, Locust was discovered
during follow up soil sampling over an area with an alteration
signature similar to mineralization associated with epithermal and
porphyry type deposits occurring throughout the Sierra Madre.
Anomalous Au values were outlined (see news
release June 2, 2010) within a zone
of intense hematite-argillite alteration over a strike length of
more than 650 meters. Company geologists have planned a 5 hole
drill program of up to 950 meters to test an area centered on a
large breccia zone. Results will be released as they come
available.
