Bauer Performance Sports Ltd. (TSX:BAU) ("BPS" or "the Company") has hired Rich
Wuerthele to serve as Executive Vice President of Hockey, a newly created
position within the BPS organization. Wuerthele, a seasoned management executive
with more than 20 years of experience, will lead Bauer Hockey, the world's No. 1
hockey business, and drive its continued growth.

Rich brings a wealth of knowledge in sales, marketing and operations to this
executive role. He has a proven track record of growing businesses and achieving
results, most recently as President, Tools Business Segment, for Newell
Rubbermaid. 


Prior to his 11-year career with Newell Rubbermaid, Rich held other top
executive roles in sales and marketing at The Black and Decker Corporation and
Danaher. In those roles, he worked on global brands such as Black and Decker,
DeWalt and Craftsman.
