AR Argonaut Gold Inc

Argonaut Gold Ltd. (TSX: AR) ("Argonaut" or the "Corporation") is pleased to announce that Barry Dahl has been appointed as the Chief Financial Officer of Argonaut, effective immediately. Mr. Dahl will replace the current Chief Financial Officer, Curtis Turner.

Mr. Dahl most recently served as the Corporate Controller of Andean Resources and has also served as the Corporate Controller and Chief Financial Officer of Hettinger Welding LLC (2007 - 2009) and the Director of External Reporting and Internal Controls of Meridian Gold Inc. (2003 - 2007). Mr. Dahl's holds a B.s. Accounting from Brigham Young University, as well as a MBA from the New York Institute of Technology. He has been granted the designation of Certified Public Accountant by the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.

Mr. Dahl's appointment remains subject to the approval of the Toronto Stock Exchange.
