                NOTIFICATION OF PRELIMINARY RESULTS ANNOUNCEMENT

Chaucer Holdings PLC confirms that it will announce its results for the year 
ending 31 December 2003 on Monday 5 April 2004. A presentation to analysts will
take place at 9.30 am on the day at the Company's offices, 9 Devonshire Square,
Cutlers Gardens, London EC2M 4WL.

It is the intention to announce the interim results for the 6 months ending 30
June 2004 on Monday 20 September 2004.
