                            Appointment of Chairman


The Board of Advanced Technology (UK) plc is pleased to announce that Mr Greg
Morgan (58) has today been appointed Non-Executive Chairman.  He is currently a
Non-Executive Director of the Group (appointed 20 November 2002).

He is a Non-Executive Director of Ruegg & Co Limited and was until recently a
Director of Bridgewell Securities Limited.

John Howell, Chief Executive of Advanced Technology Plc said:

"Greg has been of invaluable assistance over the past few months in putting the
Group back onto a sounder financial footing.  His City experience and his
