Reckitt Benckiser To Scrap Quarterly Profit Reports - Report
05 Februar 2012 - 3:16PM
Dow Jones News
Reckitt Benckiser PLC (RB.LN) is to stop including full profit
reports in its quarterly trading updates, instead moving to include
only sales figures outside of the interim and full-year earnings
periods, the Sunday Telegraph reported without citing sources.
The paper said new chief executive Rakesh Kapoor is also
expected to announce a shift in emphasis from American and European
markets which have come under extreme consumer pressure, to
emerging markets like China where the household goods firm sells
very few of its brands.
The company will announce its full year results on Feb. 8.
Rival Unilever PLC (UL) made a similar change to its quarterly
updates last year.
A spokesman for Reckitt Benckiser declined to comment
immediately on the report.
