ST. LOUIS, Oct. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Patriot Coal
Corporation (NYSE:PCX) today announced that its Big Mountain
Preparation Plant has operated two years without a lost time or
reportable injury. During this timeframe, over 7.6 million tons of
coal were processed by the preparation plant. "The Big Mountain
Preparation Plant began operations in 1929 and has a long, proud
history in the coal business. Through the years, the facility has
seen many upgrades, and was the first computerized preparation
plant in the U.S.," noted Patriot President & Chief Operating
