•    The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc.’s (NYSE:HIG) announced it was repurchasing $2.43 billion worth of debt and warrants from Allianz SE. Subsequently, Hartford’s shares gained 4.1%

•    Express Scripts Inc. (NASDAQ:ESRX) finally managed to complete its $29.1 billion takeover of Medco Health Solutions, Inc. (NYSE:MHS)

•    Avon Products Inc. (NYSE:AVP) rejected Coty’s $10 billion purchase bid as the former said that Coty had undervalued the company
