MERR), today announced that it has hired three veteran analysts to
fill key equity research roles in Branded Consumer – Specialty
Retail, CleanTech Infrastructure and Data Center Technologies.
The new equity research team members include:
- Jesse Herrick, vice
president and equity research analyst in CleanTech Infrastructure,
was most recently at TriplePoint Partners as founder and managing
director where he consulted for clean technology and energy focused
companies, primarily on internal business development issues. He
previously held a CleanTech equity research position at Merriman
Capital. Herrick began his career as a mechanical engineer for ATK
Space Systems, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory and the
Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency. He earned his M.S. in
mechanical engineering from UC Berkeley and B.S. in mechanical
engineering from UC Santa Barbara.
- Kristine Koerber,
managing director and equity research analyst in Branded Consumer /
Specialty Retail, was most recently at JMP Securities (NYSE: JMP)
as a managing director and senior equity research analyst.
Prior to joining JMP, Koerber was a managing director and
senior research analyst at WR Hambrecht + Co. She also served in
senior research roles at Banc of America Securities (formerly
Montgomery Securities) and CS First Boston. In 2010 and 2007,
Koerber was recognized as a top analyst in the "Specialty Retailers
& Services" sector by The Wall Street Journal's annual
"Best on the Street: Analysts Survey." She has also consistently
received analyst awards by Forbes. Koerber holds a B.S. in
finance from Arizona State University.
- Kaushik Roy, managing
director and equity research analyst in Data Center Technologies
was most recently a research analyst at Wedbush Securities. Prior
to joining Wedbush, Roy was a buy-side analyst at Lehman Brothers
(formerly Neuberger Berman) for their technology hedge fund. He has
also held key research positions at Susquehanna Financial Group and
Robertson Stephens. Roy has worked in the technology industry as a
product manager and strategic investment manager at EMC
Corporation. He earned his M.B.A. from Cornell
University, M.S. in electrical engineering from Louisiana State University and B.S. in electrical
engineering from B.I.T, India.
