Maggie Wilderotter, Chairman and CEO of Citizens Communications Company (NYSE:CZN), the parent of Frontier, and Ann Burr, Chairman and General Manager for Frontier in Rochester, N.Y., accepted a proclamation from the City of Rochester today at City Hall as Rochester Mayor Robert J. Duffy designated June 20, 2008 �Frontier Day.� The Mayor also presented Wilderotter and Burr with a Key to the City. �Frontier has a long history of outstanding corporate citizenship in our city,� said Rochester Mayor Robert J. Duffy. �They are a tremendous local partner that provides first-class communication services to our residents and also assists the City of Rochester with bridging the digital divide in our downtown community.� �This is a tremendous honor,� said Wilderotter. �Frontier always has been, and will continue to be, deeply committed to Rochester, and we are humbled that the City has chosen to recognize our ongoing commitment to this community.� During the �Frontier Day� celebration at City Hall, Wilderotter and Burr announced Frontier�s donation of desktop computers and High-Speed Internet connections to Rochester Children�s Zone Inc. (RCZ)�and the City of Rochester. Frontier partnered with RCZ to select four sites within the Children�s Zone that would benefit from the deployment of the equipment and Internet connections, which will be available to all area residents. The four sites are: - Avenue D. Recreation Center at 200 Avenue D - Anthony Jordan�Center at 82 Holland Street - NEAD Freedom School at 630 N. Goodman Street - Community Micro-Enterprise at 774 N. Clinton Avenue �Frontier is delighted to make this donation,� said Burr. �We would like to thank Mayor Duffy and the President of the Board of Directors for Rochester Children�s Zone, Councilman Adam McFadden, for partnering with us on this initiative.� Wilderotter and Burr also announced on �Frontier Day� that Frontier�s High-Speed Wireless Internet network wireless network within the City of Rochester is now live and available to the community. �This new, state-of-the-art, wireless network is a direct result of our strong partnership with the City of Rochester,� said Wilderotter. �We are confident the introduction of this new technology will truly enhance the quality of life for residents and visitors alike.� The new network covers all of the inner loop and Corn Hill areas, and includes City Hall and area Rochester attractions like Geva Theatre, Strong Museum, Washington Square Park, the Convention Center, War Memorial and Sports Arena, and portions of North Clinton, Joseph Avenue, St. Paul Street and Main Street. Wireless access will be available in July for East Avenue, Park Avenue, University and the Monroe Avenue areas. �Frontier looks forward to future partnerships with the City of Rochester.
