ORLANDO, Fla., April 23, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc., (NYSE: AAI), advises passengers that due to airport conditions caused by severe weather at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, all AirTran Airways flights to/from St. Louis have been cancelled today, April 23, 2011, and the first departure for Sunday, April 24, 2011. We are assessing conditions at the airport and hope to resume limited operations on Sunday, April 24, 2011. Customers are asked to check airtran.com for further updates.

Passengers scheduled for travel to St. Louis through Wednesday, April 27, 2011, may change their reservation without penalty for up to five days later, based on space availability without fees or fare adjustments. Customers interested in delaying travel may make changes to their travel plans quickly and easily at www.airtran.com.

AirTran Airways is also allowing passengers with reservations to/from St. Louis through Wednesday to consider alternate airports; Bloomington/Normal Airport in Bloomington, Ill., Chicago-Midway Airport in Chicago, and Kansas City International Airport in Kansas City based on space availability.
