over IP EDMOND, Okla., Feb. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Amcat, a global
leader in call center technology solutions, announced a co-branding
partnership agreement with Xten Networks, Inc. (OTC:XNWK) (BULLETIN
BOARD: XNWK) , the developer of X-PRO, a high-quality,
carrier-grade VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) SIP softphone.
The agreement is the result of the integration of the X-PRO
softphone within the VoIP offering of Amcat's Contact Center Suite,
a comprehensive inbound/outbound/blended contact center software
solution. Amcat's Chief Technology Officer, Jim Texter commented,
"We were impressed by the high performance of Xten's technology and
are delighted to be working with one the world's leading softphone
providers. By fully integrating Xten's X-PRO softphone within our
own product, we have expanded the VoIP deployment options for
contact centers, particularly those planning distributed, remote,
or home-based working environments. Xten's softphone product is a
proven winner, as evidenced by its selection by IP providers such
as Vonage, a leader in consumer IP telephony service offerings."
"We're extremely pleased to be partnering with Amcat to enhance
their Contact Center Suite," stated Erik Lagerway, President and
COO of Xten Networks Inc. To support VoIP connectivity within a
call center environment, the Xten softphone runs in the background
at an agent's desktop and is compatible with a range of SIP
headsets that simply plug into the USB port of the PC. By providing
high quality and low costs, softphones are ideal for call centers
that wish to support distributed sites or remote workers. The
softphone configuration can be used instead of other more costly
offerings that require PBXs at the various call center locations or
hard IP and phone sets for each agent. Key features of the Amcat
solution supported by Xten's X-PRO SIP softphone include call
forwarding, voice mail, conferencing, caller ID, phone book, speed
dials and direct IP to IP calling. Amcat's Contact Center Suite
solution employs VoIP telephony software and hardware supplied by
Intel Dialogic 'IP Link' solution. About Xten Networks, Inc. Xten
is a developer of award-winning, high-quality, carrier-grade SIP

development kit (SDK), and provide VoIP (Voice over IP), Video over
IP, IM (Instant Messaging), and Presence functionality. Xten has a
