West Coast Bancorp Elects to Board David Truitt, Salem Food Processing Executive LAKE OSWEGO, Ore., May 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- West Coast Bancorp Chairman Lloyd D. Ankeny announced the Board election of David Truitt at the recent annual meeting of shareholders. Truitt fills the position vacated by Salem businessman Bill Loch, who retired after 27 years of service to the board. He served four years in the Navy and earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Tulane University. In 1973 he and his brother purchased the Salem cannery on Front Street. David manages field and operations functions, processing 50,000 tons of pears, beans, cherries and plums per year, in addition to off season products. The Truitt Bros. Special Products Division, launched in the early 90's, produces over 150 shelf stable meals in flexible pouches and trays.
