            On March 2, 2010, West Coast Bancorp issued a press release announcing the expiration of the offering period for its previously announced rights offering at 5:00 p.m. on March 1, 2010, and the preliminary results of the rights offering, which was oversubscribed.  A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
