LAKE OSWEGO, Ore., June 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- West Coast Bancorp (NASDAQ:WCBO) and Mid-Valley Bank (OTC:MVBO.OB) (BULLETIN BOARD: MVBO.OB) announced that, at the Mid-Valley Bank shareholder meeting held today, Mid-Valley Bank shareholders voted to approve West Coast Bancorp's acquisition of Mid-Valley Bank in a merger transaction. Subject to receipt of required regulatory approvals and satisfaction of other conditions in the merger agreement, the acquisition is expected to close before the end of the month. When completed, the acquisition will add Mid-Valley Bank's four full service branches in Woodburn (2), Wilsonville, and Mount Angel to West Coast Bank's 52 Oregon and Washington locations. The combined entities will have $2.1 billion in assets, based upon data for Bancorp and Mid-Valley Bank as of March 31, 2006.
