The West Virginia Human Rights Commission, a division of the
West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources, has
launched their newly designed website at:
http://www.hrc.wv.gov.
Visitors to the new site have access to popular forms,
publications, decisions, along with meeting agendas and upcoming
events. The website also takes advantage of a new responsive design
that enables visitors to quickly and easily view information from a
smartphone, tablet, laptop, or desktop computer.
“The goal of this website is to provide a resource that helps
educate and protect the public against discrimination in employment
and in places of public accommodations,” said Mary Kaye Jacquet,
Acting Executive Director. “Updating our site to now be responsive
means that people can find the resources they need no matter which
device they are viewing from.”
The West Virginia Human Rights Commission is a state government
agency that investigates and adjudicates discrimination complaints
in the areas of employment, housing and places of public
accommodation. Their mission is to educate the public on the West
Virginia Human Rights Act and to bring about respect, tolerance,
and mutual understanding among all citizens of West Virginia
regardless of their race, gender, religious persuasion, ethnicity,
or disability.
