Alabama encourages citizens to register to be
an organ donor for National Donor Day
The state of Alabama encourages citizens to renew their driver
license online and register to be an organ donor at alrenewal.com.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency offers a quick and convenient
way for citizens to renew their driver license without the need to
wait in line, reducing foot traffic at driver license office
locations.
For National Donor Day, Alabama is encouraging all citizens
renewing their driver license to register to become an organ donor.
Just one organ donor can save up to eight lives. With the
transplant waiting list growing every 10 minutes, the need for
organ donations continues.
“With people being added to the transplant waiting list every
day, we are encouraging citizens to consider giving the gift of
life by becoming a registered organ donor,” said Secretary of Law
Enforcement Hal Taylor.
The site allows citizens to interact with the Alabama Law
Enforcement Agency and renew their driver license outside of
business hours.
To renew your license today, visit alrenewal.com. The online
Driver License Renewal application is provided through
collaboration between the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency and
Alabama Interactive.
