A Switch to Access Idaho Allows for Online and
Over-the-Counter Credit Card Use
The Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses (IBOL) is now using
Access Idaho to process credit cards online and at the counter.
IBOL uses Access Idaho’s payment engine to take credit cards
online through its licensing system. Through the payment engine,
IBOL has the future option to use NIC’s Gov2Go Pay service, which
allows customers to store credit card or checking information to
use at a later date. Gov2Go Pay also expedites the checkout
process, makes it possible for users to pay other Idaho state
agencies, and enables users to view payment transaction history
plus create custom notes. IBOL can now take Visa, MasterCard, AMEX,
and Discover.
IBOL also implemented Access Idaho’s PayPort service to collect
cards at the counter. This application, along with using the
payment engine, allows IBOL to streamline its billing reports
saving time for financial staff.
Idaho Bureau of Occupational Licenses partnered with Boise-based
Access Idaho to build and maintain the service. The partnership
operates under a self-funded model in which no tax dollars or state
funds were used.
