The Montana Department of Livestock’s Animal Health Division is
now accepting credit card and electronic checks as payment for 15
different animal health special permits and certificates, including
Annual Equine Import and Seasonal Grazer permits.
Prior to accepting credit card payments, applicants were
required to mail in payments with their applications. As of January
4, 2016, customers can pay for their applications online with a
Visa, MasterCard, Discover card, or an electronic check.
Individuals also have the ability to call the main office and make
payments over the phone.
“In 2015, the department processed 1,451 payments for animal
fees through mail using checks or cash. The new online system
expedites processing payments for applicants,” said Dr. Marty
Zaluski, State Veterinarian of the Department of Livestock.
Customers will still be required to submit an application by
either mail or email. Once the application and payment are
received, the applicant will then be issued their permit or
license.
Online payments for permit, license, or certification
applications can be made by visiting
www.animalhealthmt.com, or over the
phone by calling 406-444-2043.
