Hunters in West Virginia may now reprint their hunter education certification cards online by visiting https://apps.wv.gov/dnr/huntereducation or the DNR website at wvdnr.gov.

“This is a quick and convenient way for individuals to instantly purchase and print out their hunter education card,” said Lt. Col. David Trader, of the West Virginia DNR Law Enforcement Section. ”Currently, hunters must mail in an application and wait to receive their duplicate card in the mail. Having this service online allows individuals to receive their card and purchase their hunting license all in the same day.”

Anyone born on or after January 1, 1975 must successfully complete a hunter education course prior to purchasing a hunting license. Your hunter education certification card must be presented when purchasing a hunting license or you may supply the card number located on the certification card when purchasing online.

If you have already completed the hunter education program and need to reprint your hunter education certification card, please visit https://apps.wv.gov/dnr/huntereducation or wvdnr.gov. You will need to provide your first and last name, date of birth and last four digits of your social security number to locate your record. The fee for reprinting your card is $10. If for some reason your card cannot be located, you will be directed to contact your nearest District Office for your replacement card.
