The Nebraska Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) launched a new website which includes a fresh look and feel with added features and functionality to encourage user engagement.

Intuitive navigation, responsive design and easily accessible relevant content are a few of the key highlights of NEMA’s new site developed on the Nebraska.gov Drupal platform. Editing the content with the use of Drupal, the Nebraska.gov customizable content management system, enables NEMA administrators to make changes whenever necessary.

The website’s responsive design allows content on NEMA’s new site to be accessible on mobile devices as well as desktop computers. “We want Nebraskans to be able to view the content on all possible channels, at all times. That’s the value proposition from the partnership between Nebraska Interactive and the Nebraska Emergency Management Agency. Our mobile-first practices keep constituents connected to the information they need,” stated General Manager of Nebraska Interactive Brent Hoffman.

“NEMA’s website provides the public and our local, state and federal emergency management partners with quality information in a user-friendly format,” said Bryan Tuma, NEMA assistant director. “We believe that we will be able to better serve Nebraskan’s through our new site.”

Training opportunities, meetings, online event registration for classes and enhanced preparedness tips are added features on the website. Visitors also have easy access to emergency management-related events using a sortable calendar.
