Dancing Willows collaborates with Colorado.gov
to build their first website
The Dancing Willows Metropolitan District has launched their
official website, http://www.colorado.gov/dancingwillowsmd. This
new platform fills a demand for the nearly five hundred
constituents living within the district.
"It is exciting, that we are now able to directly communicate
with our constituents,” said Board of Directors President, Bill
Anderson. “Our new website delivers transparency on district
information and encourages open engagement between the district and
our community.”
Dancing Willows was established in 2005 and is located within
Jefferson County, in the Littleton area. The Dancing Willows
Metropolitan District is funded
through a property tax mill levy and is responsible for managing
and maintaining the areas within the Dancing Willows district.
Prior to this website, Dancing Willows shared information with
the community by way of email and word of mouth. It was labor
intensive and there was no way to ensure that all members of the
community were receiving the information. Dancing Willows partnered
with Colorado.gov and was able to create content and launch their
website within four weeks of the project planning phase.
With the Dancing Willows website now live, those in the
community can take advantage of key features like the Contact Us
Form, Reservation Request Form, Events Calendar, links to the
district’s HOAs, Board Meeting notes and News Articles.
Since 2004 Colorado Interactive, dba Colorado.gov, has partnered
with SIPA, the state's oversight body, to accelerate the adoption
of e-Government services by placing more Colorado government
products, services and information online. Together, SIPA and
Colorado.gov provide more than 200 no-cost websites to governments
across Colorado. They are excited to welcome the new website of
Dancing Willows Metropolitan District.
