MIDLAND, Texas, June 26, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Dawson
Geophysical Company (NASDAQ: DWSN) (the "Company") today announced
that it was added as a member of the U.S. small-cap Russell 2000®
Index and the U.S. broad-market Russell 3000® Index at the
conclusion of the Russell indexes annual reconstitution, effective
after market close on June 22,
2018. Dawson Geophysical also will be automatically added to
the appropriate growth and value indexes, and will remain in the

determines membership for its Russell indexes primarily by
objective, market-capitalization rankings and style attributes.
"We are pleased to be added to both the Russell 2000® and
Russell 3000® Indexes; two of the most widely-followed benchmarks
for small-cap and broader market growth companies," said
Stephen C. Jumper, Chairman, CEO and
President of the Company. "The added visibility that comes
with inclusion in each of these indexes will help generate
increased awareness among leading portfolio managers and analysts
for Dawson's seismic services as well as provide added liquidity
and value for our shareholders."
Russell U.S. Indexes are widely used by investment managers and
institutional investors as the basis for index funds and as
benchmarks for active investment strategies. Approximately
$9 trillion in assets are benchmarked
against Russell U.S. Indexes. Russell U.S. Indexes are part of FTSE
Russell, a leading global index provider.
