Dell will host its Dell Enterprise Forum at the San Jose
Convention Center on June 4-6, 2013. The event will offer Dell
customers and partners open access to the most influential
executives, engineers and architects developing Dell’s end-to-end
IT infrastructure. Attendees will take part in keynotes, featuring
Dell’s end-to-end data center approach, technology-specific super
sessions, technical breakouts, roadmap sessions, “speak with a
geek” opportunities, and hands-on labs showcasing the latest Dell
data center offerings.
“The creation of Dell Enterprise Forum is a natural evolution
and a direct result of customer feedback as Dell quickly grows its
enterprise footprint and becomes a critical data center partner to
companies worldwide,” said Marius Haas, president of enterprise
solutions group at Dell. “The conference will give customers and
partners a chance to spend time with Dell’s enterprise team and get
an in-depth look at our broad capabilities that drive improved
efficiencies in their businesses today while providing a view into
the future with our portfolio.”
Dell Enterprise Forum is a progression of the company’s
previously successful Dell Storage Forums. Dell Storage Forum
served as the company’s cornerstone technical conference, and its
charter has been expanded to be inclusive of all of Dell’s
infrastructure capabilities. The conference will include deep dives
into key data center building blocks, such as Dell Active System
converged infrastructures to address specific workloads, Dell
PowerEdge rack, tower and blade servers that provide leading
performance and scalability, Dell networking as the intelligent
backbone for in-center communications for data centers, and Dell
storage as a flexible, easy-to-manage and secure data
repository.
Dell continues to offer innovative technology to balance price
and performance with a scalable design point, helping IT
organizations of all sizes easily grow alongside their businesses.
Dell Enterprise Forum will offer insights into how Dell helps
organizations attain their desired business outcomes with
technology that works better together to achieve its full
potential.
“We consider ourselves an end-to-end Dell shop,” said Pete
Koehler, IT manager and virtualization architect at Tecplot Inc.
“That’s why I am particularly excited about this newly expanded,
technical event. With just one trip, I get an overview of Dell’s
data center solution plans and my technical questions answered by
experts who know the technology inside and out. As a past Dell
Storage Forum attendee, I value the quality of information I get
time and time again. The ability to speak one-on-one with product
planners and other key individuals has been invaluable and helped
with my short and long-term strategic decision making. This
conference continues to be on my ‘must go to’ list.”
Attendees will have the opportunity to network with peers to
share knowledge and expertise. They will also interact directly
with top engineers and subject matter experts from Dell’s worldwide
development centers on key IT trends organizations face today,
including IT convergence, cloud, mobility, and data insights.
Customers and channel partners create their own agenda, focused on
technology areas with 10 core technical tracks and over 100
technical sessions, including advanced sessions for the power user,
spanning Dell’s server, storage, networking, and converged
infrastructure portfolio. Newly added super sessions will offer a
closer look at the latest advancements within servers, storage,
networking, and converged solutions. Breakouts will include demos
and an in-depth look at helpful tips, best practices and
architectural design of optimal solutions, including hardware,
software and services.
Channel partners can attend all technology sessions, as well as
a varied line-up of sales and business content within a channel
track and channel-focused super session. Both channel partners and
customers have three full conference days to obtain the technical
content they need, with the flexibility to attend various sessions
best suited to their individual needs.
“As a past participant in Dell Storage Forum, I am very excited
to see the change to Dell Enterprise Forum,” said Scott Winslow,
president and founder of Winslow Technology Group, a Dell Premier
PartnerDirect solutions provider. “This will allow Dell to showcase
its end-to-end enterprise solutions and customers to better
understand all Dell is offering, not only in storage, but in
servers, networking, security, software, cloud, backup and restore,
and more. To have all of these resources, and all of this
information, available under one roof, for three days, is a
fantastic opportunity for end users and partners alike. We are
sending seven individuals on our team from Boston to San Jose, and
we are very excited to be participating.”
