Funding update

Further to the announcements on 26 September 2013, XXI Century announces that negotiations regarding funding (the "Financing") have as yet not been concluded. Although efforts are being made to finalise the Financing discussions, there is no certainty that discussions will be successfully concluded in the short term and as a result without further funding, the Company will not be able to meet its obligations as they fall due.
