("XXI Century" or the "Company")

Statement re: Suspension

Further to the announcements on 24 July 2013 and 25 September 2013, XXI Century announces that negotiations regarding funding (the "Financing") are ongoing but have as yet not been concluded. These discussions involve the Majority Shareholder of XXI Century, Ovaro, and certain other third parties. The Directors consider that it is in the Company's best interests to complete these negotiations in relation to the Financing prior to approving its Interim Accounts and, as announced on 25 September 2013, the Directors believe that without additional funding the Company will in due course not be able to meet its obligations as they fall due.

Under the AIM Rules, the Company is required to publish its half yearly report for the 6 month period ended 30 June 2013 ("Interim Accounts") by 30 September 2013. Accordingly, as the Company will not be publishing its' Interim Accounts in accordance with the AIM Rules by 30 September 2013, the ordinary shares are to be suspended from trading on AIM with immediate effect, pending the publication of the Interim Accounts and completion of the Financing.
