    The Wensum Company plc ("Wensum" or "the Company")

    AGM STATEMENT

    27 June 2008

    At the Company's AGM today, Stuart Lyons, Chairman, made the following statement:

    "Sales for the first four months are in line with the prior year, but gross margins have come under pressure due to market conditions,
while operating costs have risen.  

    The Group has made a cumulative operating loss during the period, which is unlikely to be recovered at the half-year end. 

    The Board is taking a number of steps with a view to improving the medium-term outlook, but conditions for the remainder of this
financial year will remain difficult."
