On September 6, 2007, Verizon Communications filed a Form 8-K with the U.S.
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), disclosing a news release dated
September 6, 2007, issued by Verizon Communications pertaining to the
declaration of a quarterly dividend of 43 cents per outstanding share, an
increase of 2.5 cents, or 6.2 percent, from the previous quarter. On an annual
basis, this increases Verizon's dividend 10 cents per share, from $1.62 to $1.72
