UTILICO INVESTMENT TRUST PLC



Utilico Investment Trust plc announces the allotment of 463,423 Ordinary Shares
of 1.5625p each and 42,063 Zero Dividend Preference ("ZDP") Shares of 177.52p
each.  These shares, which rank pari passu with the existing shares in issue,
have been allotted following the exercise of 93,505 Warrants (into 59,831
Ordinary Shares and 42,063 ZDP Shares) and the conversion of #538,123 of 3.75%
Subordinated Convertible Unsecured Loan Stock 2009 ("CULS") (into 403,592
Ordinary Shares) on 30 April 2007.  Application has been made for the new
Ordinary Shares and ZDP Shares to be listed and admitted to trading on the Stock
Exchange and dealings are expected to commence on 11 May 2007.



As a result of this exercise, the total number of Ordinary Shares in issue now
stands at 65,169,516, the total number of ZDP Shares in issue stands at
45,486,200, the total number of Warrants in issue stands at 19,264,812 and the
amount of CULS in issue stands at #19,420,379.
