DIRECTORS' DEALINGS

Release of Vested Shares under the Performance Share Plan

and the Deferred Annual Bonus Scheme

Following the sale of shares below, Peter Long (Chief Executive) retains an interest in 8,197,750 shares, relating to 3,025,860 personal holding, 3,541,120 under the Deferred Annual Bonus Scheme and 1,630,770 under the Performance Share Plan. As previously announced to the market in May 2008, Peter has committed to retain a minimum personal holding of 3 million shares for the medium term.

Following an allocation of shares in December 2010 and the performance conditions being met for the year ended 30 September 2013, the following shares were released and sold on 10 December 2013 at 378.3p (which includes a proportion to cover taxation and other statutory withholding obligations):
