TPG ACQUIRES GERMAN BASED SCHRADER GROUP

TNT Post Group N.V. (TPG), headquartered in Amsterdam, today acquired 100 per
cent of the German-based logistics provider, the Schrader Group. The Schrader
Group, headquartered in Wolfsburg, has estimated revenues for the year 2000 of
EUR 73 million. The company provides logistics services for consumer goods and
retail products (main customers: Bestfoods/Unilever, Max Bahr, Duni and SCA) as
well as significant automotive logistics services for customers such as
Volkswagen in Germany, Austria and the United Kingdom.

The agreement enables TPG to fulfil its logistics strategy of building critical
mass in targeted sectors and geographical areas. The two companies will continue
to operate under their two strong brand names for the foreseeable future. Mr
Eckhard Schrader, Managing Director of the Schrader Group will continue to lead
the organisation.

The family owned Schrader Group employs approximately 900 employees. The
company's warehouses are in Chemnitz, Goettingen, Hamburg, Salzgitter,
Wolfsburg, Poznan (Poland), and Hoersching (Austria). The logistics services it
provides include: quality control, order receipt and control, material flow from
supplier to construction process, coordination of suppliers and sub-suppliers,
transport optimisation, warehouse management and customs services. The services
are supported by dedicated automated systems. The Schrader Group is ISO 9000
certified.

TPG with its two brands TNT and PTT Post, is a global provider of mail, express
and logistics services. It employs more than 115,000 people in 60 countries and
serves over 200 countries. The company had sales of EUR 8.5 billion in 1999. TPG
is publicly listed on the Stock Exchanges of Amsterdam, New York, London and
Frankfurt.
