Board Changes
The Board of Sovereign announces that John Robert Strachan has been appointed as
Chief Executive and Gary Steven Robertson has been appointed as Director with
immediate effect.
John Strachan's (age 60) background is in the oil and gas industry with over 20
years experience in areas such as acquisitions and disposals and project
development and he has also acted on a number of successful oil and gas
transactions internationally. Prior to returning to the U.K. from 1986 he served
as a Senior Police Officer in Hong Kong for 16 years.
Gary Robinson (age 51) has been overseeing the sales and marketing activity for
Sovereign's subsidiaries Maxwell Downhole Technology in Aberdeen and SERCO in
Pau, France. He started in the oil industry with Santa Fe Drilling before moving
to NL Industries which was involved in logging, mud engineering and held
management positions in both North Africa and Europe. Following this, Gary
established Far East markets for a London based oil commodities financial
service company. He also formed Unigel a leading designer and manufacturer of
cable filling gels for optical fiber telecommunications and copper cables.
Additionally Stuart Pearson has resigned as Non-Executive Director with
immediate effect and the Board would like to thank him for his contribution over
the last few years.
The Board are continuing further discussions with its lending consortium to
re-negotiate the terms of its existing loans and a further update will be
provided in due course.

order was issued on 31 October 2007 to wind up Easier PLC and liquidators were
appointed to Easier PLC on 14 March 2008.

Gary Robinson was a director of Unigel Limited when on 8 December 1999 a
liquidator was appointed as a result of a members voluntary winding up. At 6
March 2001 the estimated deficiency as regards members was GBP116,375.00 and the
estimated deficiency as regards creditors was nil.
Save for the declarations above there is no further information to be disclosed
in respect of the appointment of Mr. Strachan and Mr. Robertson under Rule 17 or
Schedule Two paragraph (g) of the AIM Rules for Companies.
