Orb Estates PLC (the "Company") has been  notified on 4th
November 1997 that Peter Gyllenhammar, a director of  the
Company,  purchased 15,000 ordinary  50p  shares  in  the
Company on 28th October 1997.

These shares  were  purchased at a weighted average price
of 49p per share. 

His  total holding in the ordinary share capital  of  the
Company  after  this  purchase is  475,000  ordinary  50p
shares  representing 7.17% of the Company's issued equity
share capital.
