Appointment of new Chairman

23 April 2009: MDY Healthcare plc ("MDY Healthcare" or the "Company"), the 
strategic investor in healthcare companies, today announces the appointment of 
Mr Alan MacKay as Non Executive Chairman with immediate effect. Mr MacKay has 
been a non-executive director of the Company since September 2006. Dr David 
Wong, the former Executive Chairman, will become Executive Director with 
immediate effect. 
 
 
Dr Wong commented, "We are delighted that Alan MacKay has agreed to serve as 
Non Executive Chairman, which will allow me to focus on my executive role 
responsible for the Company's investment portfolio and strategy". 
 
 
The Company also announces that at the AGM held yesterday, all the resolutions 
were duly passed. 
 
 
In June, the Company will be announcing its interim results for the six months 
ended 31 March 2009 and will update shareholders further at that time.
