      Free float weightings of eligible companies to the FTSE UK Indices.

In accordance with the introduction of the new free float rules, the FTSE
Europe/Middle East/Africa Regional Committee announces the investibility
weightings of the following monitored UK companies.  These companies will
be considered for eligibility for inclusion to the FTSE UK indices at the
next quarterly review on 6 September 2000:

Please note that at the quarterly review, these companies will be allocated
to the appropriate index based on their full market capitalisations, with
the investibility weightings applied thereafter.  Confirmation of all
constituent changes to the FTSE UK indices will be announced after market
close on 6 September 2000 accordingly.
