Limelight VCT plc ("Limelight") is today issuing its first Interim Management
Statement as required by the Disclosure Rules and Transparancy Rules of the
Financial Services Authority.

During the first quarter of this financial year film production activity in the
United Kingdom during the first quarter of 2007 has remained at one of its
lowest levels for many years. As a result Limelight was unable to identify any
suitable investments in the period but has reached agreement in principle on the
terms of investment in a number of companies and is in the process of finalising
the terms of these proposed investments.

While the continuing delays in investing are very disappointing Limelight is
pleased to note that UK film production activity is now picking up and
anticipates being substantially invested within the next few months and should
be on schedule to meet the necessary investment levels well within the required
time limits to maintain its status as an approved VCT.

Whilst Limelight is not in a position to announce closed deals at the moment it
looks forward to doing so in the near future as activity builds up throughout
the summer months, traditionally the busiest time for film production.
