                                  SMI4 Update


KimCor Diamonds plc ("KimCor" or the "Company"), a diamond producer and
exploration company with properties in South Africa and Tanzania, is pleased to
announce that the agreement regarding the acquisition of the SMI4 tailings dump
entered into between the Company's subsidiary, Superkolong Holdings Ltd, and De
Beers Consolidated Mining ("De Beers") became effective on 27 February 2008.


The first phase of the upgrade of the SMI4 plant has now been completed, and
production will recommence following closing of the agreement.  The closing date
under the agreement is scheduled for 5 March 2008.
