Solution Will Enhance Enrollment and Eligibility Processes to Improve Citizen Benefit Programs

Kofax® Limited (NASDAQ: KFX)(LSE: KFX), a leading provider of software to simplify and transform the First Mile™ of customer engagements, today announced that a state health and human services agency in the United States has invested more than $1.4 million in a Kofax solution to improve citizen benefit programs. The agency is currently using Kofax Capture™ and Kofax Transformation Modules™ to enhance enrollment and eligibility processes. The agency expanded its solution to include Kofax Mobile Capture™ Platform and the Kofax Mobile Capture SDK™, which will be used to further automate enrollment and eligibility systems and to process more than 60 million images within the next two years.

"Improving citizen services, saving money and protecting the environment with green initiatives are all key drivers for governments today," said Howard Dratler, Executive Vice President of Field Operations at Kofax. "Kofax solutions enable this customer to advance citizen services by automating enrollment and eligibility processes that normally require paper, while also saving money by eliminating manual processing."

Kofax Capture provides industry leading scan-to-archive capabilities by scanning documents and forms to create digital images, extracting index data for retrieval purposes and delivering the images and associated data to a variety of repositories and applications.

Kofax Transformation Modules is an integrated platform of applications that streamline the transformation of different document types into structured electronic information, ready for delivery into business systems and processes.

Kofax Mobile Capture Platform enables organizations to integrate powerful, interactive capture and process management capabilities into their mobile applications, which streamlines information intensive interactions and extends self service capabilities to customers. It turns smartphones into information capture devices, with more dynamic applications that "meet customers where they are" and when and how they want to be engaged.

The Kofax Mobile Capture SDK provides mobile integration with Kofax real-time capture services, content extraction and validation, process management and analytics capabilities. Combined with Kofax mobile frameworks, it provides powerful mobile capabilities and interactive control over extracting information from images, videos, bar codes and more—from apps on both iOS and Android devices.

This purchase closed in the second quarter of Kofax's fiscal year 2015 and totaled nearly $1.2 million in software license revenue and more than $235,000 in maintenance services.
