KIMBERLEY DIAMOND COMPANY NL (the Company) (AIM: KDC)

GEM DIAMONDS AUSTRALIA PTY LTD (GDA) - EXTENSION OF OFFER

The Company has today received notice of variation from GDA in relation to its
off-market takeover bid for all the shares in Kimberley Diamonds (the Offer).
The Offer has been varied by:

- extending the Offer close period to 5.00pm (WST) to 23 November 2007; and

- extending the new date for giving notice of the status of the conditions of
the Offer to 15 November 2007.
