Japanese Accelerated Performance Fund Limited (the "Company") 
 
 
MATURITY AND REDEMPTION 
 
 
On 18 December 2003 30,000,000 Participating Shares in the Company ("Shares") 
were issued to Shareholders at a price of 100 pence per Share and the Shares 
were admitted to listing on the Official List of the UK Listing Authority and 
to trading on the London Stock Exchange on 18 December 2003. 
 
 
The Company's investment objective is to provide Shareholders on the Redemption 
Date with a Capital Amount of 100 pence per Share and a Growth Amount per Share 
equal to five times any percentage increase in the Nikkei 225 Index over the 
period from the Start Date to the End Date (the result being expressed in pence 
and rounded down to the next whole pence), up to a maximum of 100 pence per 
Share. 
 
 
On 17 December 2009 the End Value (closing value of the Nikkei 225 Index) was 
10,163.80, a rise of 0.7% from the Start Value (which was the closing value of 
the Nikkei 225 Index on the Start Date of 17 December 2003) of 10,092.64. Under 
the terms of the prospectus Shareholders are therefore due to receive a Final 
Capital Entitlement of 103 pence per Share.  The Company's investments are due 
to mature and Shares are due for redemption on or around 22 December 2009, with 
redemption proceeds expected to be paid to Shareholders shortly thereafter. 
 
 
Redemption proceeds will be paid to all shareholders by cheque made payable to 
the relevant holder or in the case of joint holders to such relevant joint 
holders and sent at the risk of the holder(s) to the address of the holder or 
first named joint holder as such appears in the Company's Register of Members. 
If an alternative method of payment (at the expense of the holder(s)) is 
desired, notice in writing of such alternative method from the registered 
holder(s) must be received by the Company's Registrar and Paying Agent, Anson 
Registrars Limited, by no later than noon on 21 December 2009. Anson Registrars
