                HYDER CONSULTING PLC ("Hyder Consulting", the "Group")

                           RESULTS AND TRADING UPDATE


Hyder Consulting, the international advisory and design consultancy, expects to
announce results for the year ended 31 March 2008 on Monday 9 June.  Trading
during the year for the Group has been in line with expectations.


The Group has secured significant new work with the order book at record levels.
Major projects secured in the second half year include:


  * Southern Area highways maintenance sub-contract, UK
  * Advisory commission for Phase 2 procurement of island wide sewerage, Isle
    of Man
  * Port Botany infrastructure expansion, New South Wales, Australia
  * Victoria Road Upgrade Alliance, New South Wales, Australia
  * City University engineering services, Hong Kong
  * Ha Long Star resort and residential development, Vietnam
  * Diyar Al Muharaq mixed residential and commercial development, Bahrain


The Group has added 600 staff outside the UK in the second half and overseas
staff numbers now exceed 3,000, with approximately 1,600 staff in the UK.  The
acquisition of Seib Ingenieur, and Voigt Ingenieure in Germany, Crescent in
Australia, and Holford and Associates in Dubai accounts for the bulk of this
increase.  The integration of these acquisitions is progressing well.
