Notification of Interest in Shares


The Company received notification from F&C Asset Management Plc on 6 October
2006 that following the Company's cash placing on 5 October 2006 its client,
Stewardship Inv funds ICVC Stewardship Growth Fund ("Fund") no longer has a
material interest in the share capital of the Company. The Fund is interested in
1,020.621 ordinary shares in the Company representing 2.86% of its issued share
capital.


The Company also received notification on 10 October 2006 from UBS AG that UBS
AG, acting through its business group and legal entities, had on 5 October 2006
a notifiable interest in a total of 1,050,790 shares in the Company representing
3.18% of its issued share capital. However, the Company also received
notification on 10 October that UBS AG, as at close of business on 6 October
2006 no longer had a notifiable interest in the ordinary share capital of Hyder.
