            HYDER CONSULTING PLC ("Hyder Consulting" or the "Company")


                NOTIFICATION OF TRANSACTIONS ON BEHALF OF PDMRs


The Company has today received notification from Hill Samuel Offshore Trust
Company Limited ("the Trustee"), the trustee of the Hyder Consulting PLC
Employee Benefit Trust, that the Trustee acquired via market purchases on Friday
29 September 2006, 16,275 ordinary shares at a price of 330 pence per share. The
purchase was made in order to be able to partly satisfy awards made under the
Hyder Consulting PLC 2006 Long Term Incentive Plan, as previously notified on 25
August 2006. Following the purchase and taking account of the shares the Trustee
will acquire through its participation in the cash placing announced on 28
September 2006, the Trustee is interested in 77,170 ordinary shares which
represents 0.22% of the ordinary issued share capital (enlarged to take account
of the cash placing). The persons discharging managerial responsibility who are
interested in the relevant ordinary shares held by the Trustee are Mr G Nickel
(Regional Managing Director, Germany), Mr S Porter (Regional Managing Director,
Hong Kong/China) and Mr R Stewart (Regional Managing Director, Middle East).
