Notification of Major Interests in Shares

Disclosure under section 198 of the Companies Act 1985

The Company received notifications dated 6 December 2005, from The Alliance
Trust PLC, informing it that as the result of a sale of 750,000 ordinary shares
on 5 December 2005, the combined interests of The Alliance Trust PLC and The
Second Alliance Trust PLC, have reduced below 3 per cent, therefore, they cease
to have a notifiable interest in the Company's issued Ordinary Share Capital.
