GALLEON HOLDINGS PLC: AGREEMENT WITH DAI NIPPON PRINTING LIMITED (Japan) TO
                 LAUNCH NEW SPORTING COMPANIONS, 'SPORTBUDDIES'

World's Largest Print Group Grants Galleon Rights
                          to Establish Brand Worldwide

Galleon Holdings plc ("Galleon" or "the Group"), the AIM listed cross-media
company, today announces that it has secured from DNP the exclusive worldwide
sales and distribution rights for 'SportBuddies', portable companion products
for major sport and leisure activities. DNP is the world's largest print group
with a number of international operations. Galleon was able to research,
develop and commence marketing of the product in only 12 weeks and under its
agreement with DNP will be seeking to extend the brand and product globally, not
only in sport but across many other leisure related sectors.

The first product will be the limited-edition, FIFA-licensed 'FootballBuddy' for
seven teams participating in this year's World Cup competition: England, the
Republic of Ireland, France, Spain, Germany, Italy and Brazil. Discussions are
also underway with a number of English Premier League football teams.

SportBuddies expands on the concept of a FilofaxTM, combining vital statistics
and information on major sporting teams and events with score-sheets, progress
charts and other user-participative elements, dependent on the sporting
activity. Using official team licences, every Buddy will contain full
information on each national squad, as well as carrying 'team' branding,
including a fabric outer cover to represent the official national team strip.
Each FootballBuddy also comes with a red and yellow card, and a pen to fill in
specific match details. The recommended retail price for each will be £15.95.

Galleon will use its cross-media expertise, knowledge and contacts to pursue an
aggressive, pan-European sales and marketing campaign for the World Cup
FootballBuddy. Advertisements in many of Europe's leading newsstand football
magazines have been booked, and a website to help build a community for
FootballBuddy owners is being developed and will go live when product is
available for retail.

Orders for the FIFA-licensed FootballBuddy products have already been placed by
leading football website Rivals.net, while FIFA itself will receive 100,000
units to be retailed through the official World Cup 2002 e-commerce site.

FootballBuddy will be available from the official FIFA World Cup website from
April 2002, in the native languages of the respective football teams. All seven
Buddies will also be available in the UK, in English, from April through the
website www.footballbuddy.com. Galleon is also actively seeking to recruit a UK
multiple retail chain, to develop sales on the High Street.

Commenting on the attractions of SportBuddies to the consumer and the Group's
agreement with DNP, Galleon's chairman Jim Driscoll said: "SportBuddies should
prove a hit with sport fans around the world. We have signed an exclusive
agreement with DNP in Japan, who own the rights to the product. They will
produce SportBuddies to our specification, allowing us to roll out the concept
to a whole range of teams in a variety of sports. We are already in discussions
with multiple rugby union, cricket and Formula One motor racing teams, and I
expect further announcements after the launch of the World Cup range.

"For events such as the World Cup, the attraction of having a pocket-sized
companion for your team, complete with full fixture details, stadia information,
player statistics, team sheets, etc. is clear. With FootballBuddy, there is the
added appeal of being able to fill in line-ups, record individual match details
and compile full reports on every game. For 'statistic-heavy' sports, such as
cricket and Formula One motor racing, we see SportBuddies becoming a real "must
have" product at the start of any season or major championship, and with
impending World Cups in both cricket and rugby union, there is a tremendous
sales opportunity for the product."
