                               11 JANUARY 2002

GALLEON HOLDINGS PLC: ACQUISITION OF SECOND MAJOR
ANIMATION PROPERTY, "THE CORNISH RIVIERA PASTIES"

Galleon Holdings plc ("Galleon" or "the Group"), the AIM listed cross-media
company, announces that it has acquired the complete rights to a new
children's animation property, "the Cornish Riviera Pasties". Under the terms
of the agreement, Galleon will control the production and sales of the
animated television series as well as all merchandising, marketing and
licensing. Galleon has interests in animation, media production, database
marketing, software publishing, public relations, trade journal publishing and
graphic design.

The Cornish Riviera Pasties TV series will follow the exploits of a bunch of
loveable pasties that escape a household oven and head off to the sea in
search of a life of fun and adventure. Vincent Walker, a Cornish business
man, created the idea as a short story some five years ago and always reckoned
that it would make a suitable TV show appealing particularly to children so
became very enthusiastic at Galleon's approach.

A promotional trailer for the TV series is being created using Macromedia's
Flash software by London-based new media and animation company, Lightmaker.
The Flash software will enable Galleon to prepare a trailer suitable for
Internet/interactive television as well as standard broadcast. Rob Lee, who
is assisting the Group with the development of PC Pepper, will be overseeing
this development so that the trailer debuts at the NAPTE (National Association
of Television Program Executives), an international TV trade show, later this
month in Las Vegas. Whilst attending the show Galleon will be seeking to
attract interest from a number of broadcasters keen to buy and screen the
series. Licensing and merchandising partners are also being approached.

The Cornish Riviera Pasties join Galleon's growing portfolio of animated
children's properties, which includes the 3D computer series Astro Knights and
its 50% interest in PC Pepper, and shows the Group's determination to build an
IPR portfolio that underpins Galleon's market value.

Commenting on the acquisition, Galleon's chairman James Driscoll said: "This
is the second acquisition made by Galleon since its admission to AIM last
month and I am confident that we will be able to fully exploit the potential
of the Cornish Riviera Pasties. There are many possibilities allied to the
production of the TV series and the initial feedback that the Group has had
from local media in Cornwall has been very positive."
